Hip Hop Instructor
Janet’s love for dance began at a young age in Detroit and has been a lifelong journey ever since. She grew up training in hip hop, jazz, ballet, tap, and pointe, later competing in both hip hop and poms. Her early career brought her to some of the biggest stages—including halftime for the Detroit Pistons, Stanley Cup parades, a Presidential Inaugural Parade, and performances on cruise ships.
As an adult, Janet continued to immerse herself in dance, always finding classes wherever her work travels took her. She has been part of the Elevation Dance Studio family since 2011, sharing her passion through unique choreography in productions of The Nutcracker. Beyond EDS, Janet has contributed to the broader dance community as a Steamboat Dance Theatre board member and concert producer, and she continues to inspire as both a choreographer and World Dance in Schools facilitator.
