Meg Southcott

Biography:
Meg Southcott hails from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Meg graduated from The Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX earning her BFA degree in Dance Performance and BSC in Applied Physiology & Sport Management. Meg's choreography and performance credits include the Brown Bag Dance Series, Sharp Show Senior Choreography Show, and The Meadow School of the Arts Fall and Spring Dance Concerts where she performed works by Martha Graham, Danny Buraczeski, Shen Wei, Cheryl Chaddick, Ann Maria Ewert-Pittman, Millicent Johnnie, and Christopher Dolder. Meg has also studied dance at Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp in Steamboat Springs, CO under the direction of Linda Kent where she studied ballet with Ernesta Corvino, Rick McCullough, and Steven Pier; Modern dance with Linda Kent; Tap with Elizabeth Keen; Jazz with Nicholas Villeneuve; and repertory. At Perry, she performed works by Paul Taylor, Robert Battle, Camille A. Brown, Jessica Lang, and Christopher Storey. 2 years ago, Meg was brought on as faculty member for Perry-Mansfield’s Discovery Camp program and is now the Perry-Mansfield Community Outreach Manager. Meg performed in Steamboat Dance Theatre’s Annual Concert and is happy to call Steamboat her new home!
