Register NowAt EDS, we pride ourselves on keeping you informed and up to date. This is your first monthly newsletter of the 2026-27 dance season. Our newsletters will contain important reminders and updates throughout the year on classes, special programs, performances, and more! For your convenience, all newsletters are archived and can be easily referenced at the bottom of every newsletter or click here!

Check Messages:
All regular class absences should be reported through the Parent Portal. Nutcracker rehearsal absences have their own form, linked below.
To report an absence:
We encourage families to report absences as soon as possible, especially for Company, Competition Team, Pointe, and performance-related rehearsals.
Shop all of your dance-wear needs in our in-studio boutique. We stock leotards, ballet shoes, tights, and skirts, so feel free to stop by before class. Email inquiries to Miss Andrea at edsstudiodirector@gmail.com.
Whether this is your dancer's 1st season at Elevation or your dancer is returning to us, we are here to guide and prepare you for your dancer’s first class of Elevation’s 17th consecutive season!
PARENT RESOURCES & HELPFUL LINKS are at the bottom of every page of our website and there you can find everything you need all season but especially for the first day of dance.
Parents: label everything your dancer brings into the studio such as a water bottle, bag, snack containers, etc. We will keep you updated on our lost and found pick up dates & times throughout the season.
📣 SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT!
Steamboat Dance Theater 3rd Position (Round 1) - YOUTH Ages 3-17
What it Funds: (note this scholarship is NOT restricted to classes in Routt County)
Application Window and Funding Periods:
Applications are accepted for two weeks during two separate rounds.
Round 1 is Sept 1-15, 2026
Round 2 is March 1-15, 2027
Applications will be reviewed between the 15th of the month and the end of the month, with award notifications by the 1st of the following month. Late applications will not be considered.
For Round 1: You may apply for any workshop/classes in the present or future (up to 3 months in advance. Funding can be used for classes/workshops/seasonal performance tuition that take place between October-December 2026)
For Round 2 ONLY: You may apply for any retroactive or future workshops/classes (up to 2 months after the workshop or up to 4 months in advance. Funding can be used for classes/workshops/seasonal performance tuition that take place between Jan 2027 - July 2027)

Elevation’s Lost & Found will be donated AT THE END OF THE DAY on the first Friday of each month starting SEPTEMBER 4TH from items left from Nutcracker camp and summer classes.
Please be sure to label your dancer’s name on all items coming into the studio and check the Lost & Found regularly and collect any missing items before the first Friday of the month.

Steamboat Dance Theatre’s 2026 1st Position Scholarship Round 2 application window will open November 1-November 15.
THIS IS A NEW APPLICATION AND PLATFORM FOR APPLYING - PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO APPLY.
What is it?
The 1st Position scholarship opportunity is for Routt County regional, semester- based dance classes that run January-May. If you have a dancer who plans to dance January-May, this is the only opportunity to apply for financial assistance for semester-based classes.
Who can apply?
Routt County residents ages 3-17 seeking financial assistance for dance classes in Routt County. Although it is highly recommended, the Student/Participant does NOT need to be enrolled in the class to apply for funding. However, they will need to enroll as soon as the scholarship determination is sent, and they should know that some classes fill up quickly!
